A child of the post-war period, Nina Goedé has lived in Lyon, Paris, Berlin and since 1995 in New York. Starting in 1979 she developed and presented numerous mixed media performances (called "Opera Brut") in Europe and in the U.S. She has appeared at Studio Grame de Lyon (Musique en Scène), The Avignon Festival (Présence des Formes), La Ménagerie de Verre (Paris), The Academy of Arts Berlin (Mixed Media Festival), La Mama Theater (New York), and The Experimental Intermedia Festival (New York). From 1994 through 1996 she began developing a trilogy of audio-visual installations called "Room Operas I, II, III" sponsored by the Berlin Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York Foundation for the Arts. "Room Opera 1" was presented in Berlin 1995, and since then "Room Opera II" has been presented in Berlin, New York and Charlotte, North Carolina. Since 1999 Goedé has been working on "Room Opera III", and on a new mixed media live performance entitled "GlobalWarming: 2001 Song of the Earth," the first part of which was premiered in May 2000 at the Moving Poets' 6/15 Multimedia Festival in Charlotte, N.C. Other performances include "Xenia (Nomadic)" for voice and video projections, presented at Experimental Intermedia in New York in December 1997; at Mythos-Space in Charlotte, N.C. in May 1998; and at Unerhörte Musik in Berlin in May 1999. An installation version of "Global Warming: 2001 Song of the Earth" was presented at CBGB's (New York) in January 2001, followed by an outdoor performance-installation in N.Y.at Washinghton Square Park in September.

Since 2003 N.G. is preparing a stage version of a new opera brut, called Olympus over the City, based on her composition Dona Nobis Pacem (2002), and sponsored by The New York Foundation for the Arts.

In 2004 the second and third episode from this opera in progress have been performed u.o. in Charlotte, NC at the 5/15 festival/Moving poets, and in New York at the Composer Symposium of the NYU in collaboration with Harwestworks, NYC.

Between 2004- 2005 N.G. was artist in residence at CCMIX (le Centre de Creation musicale Iannis Xenakis ) in Paris, where she was producing her 4th episode at Les Laboratoires d'Aubervillier.

2005, the 5th episode was produced and recorded at CCMIX studio in collaboration with divers musicians from Paris and USA.

Between 2006-2008 N.G. developed invented and performed Tangoliquide, a form of creative Tango dancing in connection with AstorPiazzollas music. A first result of her research was presented February 2008 in Buenos Aires at the Art Center Espacio Eclectico.

Since summer 2008 N.G. is working on the final part, the epilogue/conclusion, of Olympus over the City.

This work in progress project called "Embracing Piazzolla", will be finished and presented between 2009-2011 in NYC and Paris.
